都柔連について        About Tokyo Judo Federation (tojuren)

東京都柔道連盟は、戦後の混迷を脱しつつあった昭和24年4月26日、旧来の東京柔道有段者会を発展解消させ、新時代に即応する柔道組織として発足したものです。昭和26年頃より区画変更に伴って各地柔道会が結成され、発足当初の17柔道会が24地区を包含する連盟となり、更に平成2年4月現在、財団法人設立時には29団体に、そして平成12年4月現在では、30団体を擁する規模となり、日本柔道への重要な役割を果たしてきました。柔道の国際化が進む中で、「日本柔道」が世界の柔道界で、今後も指導的立場で活躍するためにも、当連盟が講道館、全日本柔道連盟の主軸として、これからもリーダー的役割を果たすと共に、当連盟も「さらなる発展」を目指して活動を行ってまりいます。

The Tokyo Judo Federation was established on April 26, 1949, when the turmoil of the postwar era was being lifted, as a Judo organization that responded quickly to the new era by developing and eliminating the old Tokyo Judo Dan Holders' Society.  From around 1951, Judo associations were formed in various places due to Tokyo metropolitan land readjustment, and the 17 Judo associations came to form a federation covering 24 districts in Tokyo area.  It grew to the 29 organizations when the Tokyo Judo Federation became a public utility foundation in April, 1990.  As of April 2000, it has a scale of 30 organizations and has played an important role in Japanese Judo society.  As the internationalization of Judo progresses, in order for "Nippon Judo" to continue to play an active roly in the world of Judo, we will continue to play a leading role as the main driver of the Kodokan and All Japan Judo Fedration.  At the same time, we are also working toward "further development."
